Apple investigates the reason why a girl was electrocuted while charging her iPhone

Electrocuted girl

As reported in the South China Morning Post newspaper, a girl of Chinese nationality has died electrocuted while I was coming out of the bathroom to answer a call on his iPhone 5 which was also charging.

When we are little, one of the first things they teach us is that water and electricity don't get along. While our body offers a small (very small) resistance to the passage of electric current, if our body is wet, the resistance is further reduced and the risk of being electrocuted increases exponentially.

For now, the exact reasons that caused the electric shock are unknown. Police has yet to link the girl's death to the iPhone but Apple will collaborate in everything possible to clarify what happened, in addition, it has shown its condolences to the family for the unfortunate accident.

Another possibility that is checked is that the charger used was not the original nor certificate. We have already mentioned on occasion that using accessories of dubious quality not only puts our iPhone at risk but also ourselves and our environment.

That I remember right now (someone correct me if I'm wrong), It is the first time that we speak a case of death. We have seen other cases in which the battery has exploded (something that also happens in other electronic devices, it is not only a matter of the iPhone) but what happened with this girl is much sadder.

I know that more than one of us takes the iPhone to the bathroom to listen to music while taking a shower (something that Apple also staged in one of its latest commercials) but please, never manipulate it if it is connected to the electrical network until you are not completely dry.
