Do you use a case on your iPhone? Here are the statistics.

The debate about whether a phone case is truly necessary continues to divide opinions. On one side are those who prioritize protection, convinced that any drop could lead to costly repairs. On the other are those who prefer to keep their device as it came out of the box to fully enjoy its design. Amid this contrast, a question often arises among iPhone users: how many people use their phone without a case or screen protector? A recent survey provides clear data that allows us to better understand the current behavior of users and what motivates their decisions when it comes to protecting their smartphones.

According to the study's results, the largest group consists of those who use both a case and a screen protector, representing approximately 60 percent of the total. This choice reflects a desire for comprehensive protection and stems from concerns about screen repairs and drop damage, which remain common even with the durable materials used in the latest models. In second place are the 28 percent of users who only use a case, trusting that it will be enough to absorb shocks in everyday use. Five percent report using only a screen protector, a less common option but one adopted by those who want to maintain the device's original feel without sacrificing some protection. Finally, 8 percent state they don't use any type of protection, whether due to aesthetic preference, convenience, or because they have additional coverage (such as AppleCare) that reduces repair costs. This minority is usually made up of users who particularly value the device's design and ergonomics, or those who accept the risk in favor of the user experience.

Ultimately, choosing a case or not depends on each user's profile and how they prioritize factors such as security, aesthetics, or comfort. Although most people still opt for preventative mobile phone protection, it is also true that current devices are more resistant than ever and that repair services have become more accessible. The survey shows that, despite these improvements, the perception of risk continues to outweigh confidence in the hardware's durability. Therefore, there is no one-size-fits-all solution: each person must assess what type of protection truly suits their iPhone usage. Every choice is valid if it meets the individual user's needs.
