A few months ago, we echoed a movement that Netflix was making has been related to subscriptions through the iOS application. Apparently, the streaming giant had eliminated in many countries the option to contract Netflix through the application.
Several months later, what appeared to be a test has become a reality. The guys from VentureBeat have contacted Netflix to see if it would be possible to hire their streaming service again through the application for iOS. Netflix has replied stating that it is no longer possible and will not be in the future.
Sefun has informed Netflix to this medium, all subscriptions that are currently paid through iTunes will continue to operate until the user cancels them. If they want to enjoy Netflix again, they will no longer be able to do it through iTunes, but will be forced to go through the Netflix website to pay for the service
Apparently the move that Apple made a couple of years ago, and in which reduced his commission to 15% when the subscription was over a year old it is still not enough for Netflix, and probably many others. It should be remembered that Spotify does not allow us to contract its streaming music service through the application for more than a year.
The fear that both services could have that stopping offering this option to users has disappeared, since after the different tests that have been carried out by the one who wants those services look for a way to continue paying them. In addition, in the case of Netflix, today there is no other platform that comes the least bit close in content.
