Anker has a new portable battery, with LED display, compatible with the Qi2 standard and a charging power of up to 15W, with a capacity of 10.000 mAh that allows you to recharge your iPhone almost twice, and a USB-C port that offers you up to 27W of charging power via cable.
Qi2 system, like MagSafe but better
External batteries with MagSafe system have been without a doubt one of the best applications of the magnetic charging system that Apple debuted with the iPhone 12. Not only does it allow the exact placement of the iPhone in the precise charging location, but it also allows the battery remains anchored as a hump on your phone so you can continue using it while it recharges. The arrival of the Qi2 system comes to share the same advantages of the MagSafe, including the 15W charging power, but something must be added that makes it even better: it is not necessary for Apple to certify, because Qi2 is an industry standard, so that its use is free. The first consequence of this is evident with this new portable battery: it is the first portable battery to have 15W of power for the iPhone via wireless charging. Until now MagSafe batteries only offered a maximum of 7,5W, Apple has not certified any for 15W, however this Anker MagGo reaches 15W, the same as the official MagSafe charger on your nightstand, thanks to that new standard .
That charging power increases if we use a cable and the USB-C port on the battery. It is the same port that allows charging, admitting up to 20W of maximum power for charging, but if we use it to charge another device that supports it we can reach up to 27W of power, so you can get your iPhone 30 Pro Max recharged up to 15% in 60 minutes. Perfect for when you are in a hurry and can't wait for wireless charging, which despite the 15W is much slower than wired charging. This wireless charging power (15W) and wired charging (27W) is impressive if we see the size of the MagGo battery (107.3 × 68.8 × 19.8 mm) and its weight (250gr). The battery includes a USB-C to USB-C cable in the box for recharging or to recharge another device.
The LED screen that includes the battery makes it even more special. Here you can see the remaining charge of the powerbank, without the little lights that go from 25% to 25%, you will have a real and accurate reading of what is left of the battery. In addition to that, it offers us other information that varies depending on whether we are charging the powerbank or using wireless charging for our iPhone:
- If we recharge an iPhone using wireless charging, it will offer us an estimate of the time left until the powerbank runs out of battery. It can be somewhat complicated to understand because the time varies depending on the load moment and does not always correspond to reality. In the photo you can see that it tells me that there is 1 hour 11 minutes of battery left, but when my iPhone is fully recharged that estimate increases to several hours.
- If we are recharging the battery itself, MagGo shows us the time remaining until the recharge is complete. This recharge time varies depending on the charger we are using and it is an estimate with greater practical use than the previous one.

We cannot forget the small support that includes the battery. Made of aluminum, it is very practical, more than you would imagine before using it. You can use the battery as a desktop charger on your desk or nightstand, or position it in landscape to view multimedia content while recharging your device. It barely increases the thickness of the battery and aesthetically they have achieved an elegant and discreet design, which does not bother at all so if you don't use it, you fold it and that's it.
Editor's opinion
Of all the MagSafe batteries I have tested, this MagGo with Qi2 is without a doubt the one that offers the best performance. A great charging capacity if we take into account its size, charging power comparable to any premium desktop wireless charger, and a screen with useful information, all in a compact battery of only 250g that also has a support that is truly practical in many situations. Its price is also very interesting: € 89,99 on Amazon (link) in any of the 5 available colors (white, blue, black, pink, green).
