Apple has released the latest Beta for the next Apple Watch and Apple TV updates waiting for the final version that will reach the entire public next week.
We already have the latest Betas of watchOS 10 and tvOS 17, the so-called "Release Candidate", which will be identical to the final versions that will reach everyone in a week, just when the new devices announced today reach their users. After several months of testing with versions that have been released throughout this summer and that they have been polishing the new features that Apple announced at the last WWDC 2023. With the launch of these versions the work is completed and the new updates are almost ready for public release.
The new update to watchOS 10 comes with new features for Apple watches such as new functions for the crown and the side button. Now if we turn the crown of our watches A new screen with widgets will appear with which we can quickly access information and functions such as music and podcast playback. These widgets include information about native watchOS applications but also third-party applications that you want to update to take advantage of this new functionality. Now if you prefer to use a sphere that does not show much information on the screen, you can see that information through the widgets, which are configurable so that they show only the ones you want. Pressing the side button will show you the control center with the buttons to activate or deactivate WiFi, sound and other functions.
The update to tvOS 17 does not bring too many new features to Apple TV. Perhaps the most important is being able to make FaceTime calls through the device using our iPhone's camera as if it were a webcam.. The control center is also improved to simplify its operation, and if you lose your Apple TV remote control you can now use your iPhone to locate it.
