Apple has officially announced Apple Invitations, a new app designed to simplify the organization of events and meetings. Available for devices with iOS 18 or later, this app allows users to create custom invitations and share them with your contacts via a link or through messages.
Apple Invites Highlights
This application is not only limited to creating invitations, but also integrates different services of the Apple ecosystem to improve the user experience.
- Advanced customization: Organizers can choose between own images or predefined backgrounds, as well as modify the Titles and typographic styles.
- Useful information: The app includes information about date, location and weather forecast so that attendees are prepared.
- Assistance confirmation: Guests can accept or decline the invitation, and the organizer can track it in real time.
- Shared albums: Participants can upload images and videos before, during and after the event.
- Collaborative playlists: Apple Music subscribers can create a special soundtrack for the occasion. The organizer creates the list and any attendee who has an Apple Music subscription will be able to not only see the list but also add songs to it.
Apple Intelligence and other integrations
Apple has incorporated Apple Intelligence in Invitations to generate custom images through Image Playground and assist you in writing texts with the writing tools. This allows you to create invitations with original designs without the need for advanced knowledge in graphic design. These features are not yet available in countries where Apple Intelligence has not yet been implemented, but this functionality is expected to arrive soon.
In addition, the app syncs with Maps and Weather, ensuring that guests have accurate information about the location and meteorological conditions of the event.
Availability and requirements
Apple Invites is available for free download in the App Store (link), but the ability to create events is reserved for subscribers of iCloud + which starts with 50GB of cloud storage for just €0,99. However, any user, regardless of whether they have an iPhone or not, can receive and respond to invitations from the web without needing a subscription.
