Apple has just released a new update for iPhone and iPad, version 16.5.1, which fixes major security bugs along with other bugs like the USB to Lightning adapter issue.
For a couple of weeks we have only been talking about iOS 17 and all the news that we are discovering for this new version of software that will arrive on our iPhone and iPad after the summer. But we cannot forget that the official version available is still that of iOS 16 and that there are still some problems that must be solved. We are not going to have important improvements in the updates of this version anymore but this does not mean that these updates that are released are not important. In fact this new version 16.5.1 may not seem relevant, but it fixes a major security flaw which should make you update all your devices without too much delay.
The update to iOS 16.5.1 and macOS Ventura 13.4.1, also available this afternoon for Apple computers, fixes a major security flaw that also Apple acknowledges that it could be actively being used to run malicious code on the iPhone, iPad and Mac. In other words, you will not notice anything new in this update, but if you want to continue to trust the security of your iPhone and iPad, you must update all your devices without delay, and exactly the same with your Mac computers that are compatible with macOS Fortune.
In addition to this iOS and iPadOS update, the watchOS 9 update to version 9.5.2 has been released, which also does not add any important news that you will notice, but it does fix security bugs and other performance improvements. It's worth taking a few minutes this afternoon and updating all your devices.. In the meantime, we are waiting for Beta 2 of iOS 17, of which we still have no news.
