When Apple announced the Vision Pro at WWDC this year, it mentioned the first half of 2024 to launch them on the market. Although their intention was to arrive in January and launch them, Everything indicates that the glasses will arrive in March 2024 according to Mark Gurman in his Bloomberg newsletter.
In this newsletter, Power On, Gurman comments that Apple still needs to implement its distribution plans and finish the testing part before launching the Vision Pro. Additionally, Apple normally has a spring event in March where they would use the occasion to promote the Vision Pro and show off new features and apps that have been simmering since their introduction last summer at WWDC.
Apple would have been forced to make drastic cuts to its production plans due to manufacturing difficulties with the Vision Pro. It is expected that less than 400.000 units will hit the market in 2024 and that it will only do so initially in the United States, reaching only other markets such as the UK or Canada at the end of 2024.
Some of the workers at Apple Stores in the United States would have already been included in a training plan in Cupertino on the Vision Pro. These employees would be in charge of training their colleagues to reach all the necessary workers in a tree model.
This means that once the Vision Pro is launched, The most iconic Apple Stores will have an area dedicated to testing them while the rest will only have some minimal testing for consumers. Something similar to how the Apple Watch was initially deployed in the Apple Store. As time goes by, they will surely be available to everyone at any time. For now, we can only wait until, at the earliest, 2025 for them to arrive outside the American, Canadian and British markets.
