Since CarPlay saw the light in 2014, little by little it has become an option to consider by manufacturers when including in their vehicles. Traditionally, the multimedia systems of most manufacturers, they have always left much to be desired, as well as sometimes being the worst part of the car.

CarPlay, like Android Auto, have hit the market to become the best option for manage vehicle multimedia capabilities. Thanks to CarPlay and Android Auto, we can manage practically all the content on our device from our vehicle, without having to interact with it on most occasions, which also offers added security.

As we can see on the Apple website, where it informs us about the compatibility of CarPlay with vehicle manufacturers, this technology is available today in more than 400 vehicle models, only in the United States. If we count the number of models that are sold outside the United States, the number increases considerably.

Most manufacturers offer users two options when buying a vehicle: CarPlay or Android Auto. However, there are some manufacturers such as Toyota, who will directly only offer CarPlay (they do not offer it yet) starting next year. This is due to the large amount of data that Android Auto registers about the use that the user makes of their vehicle, data that although it is true is sent anonymously, represents a privacy problem.

The next manufacturer to give the go-ahead for CarPlay integration is the manufacturer Subaru, who both throughout this year and next year, will launch various renewed models, both inside and out, offering CarPlay as standard throughout the range.
