Google continues to improve the maps application day by day. Last October the Google Maps web service premiered a new feature that allowed us to add stops along the way within a route already drawn. This new tool has just arrived in the Google Maps application in the last update that the application has received.
This new feature allows us to add stops along the way, within a route that we have previously established, without having to re-create the route again when we leave it, either to put gas, well to eat, or simply because we have decided to visit a city that was not in the itinerary.
To be able to establish the stops without stopping the route, we have to click on the magnifying glass that the application offers us. When pressing is her, several options will appear to add a stop along the way for coffee, lunch, shopping, gas… It is not advisable to take our eyes off the road while we are driving, and for this, we can also add the stops on the route through voice commands. The application will add the estimated time that we will take at the stop to the total of the route.
But this update is not the only one that Google has added in this update to the application, but also offers us the 3D Touch function to quickly get directions to home and work by pressing and holding the Google Maps application icon.
Apple must continue to put the batteries in its map service, if you ever want to get closer to all the functions that Google does not currently offer through its map service, both via web and via application.
