The search giant has been testing dark mode in its maps application for iOS for the last two months, a dark mode that is finally launched for all users and that allows the user to enjoy the entire application in tones dark, when the device is in dark mode. Google has officially announced that finally officially incorporates the dark mode in Google Maps through the following statement:
Do you feel fatigue on the screen or do you want to customize your application? You're in luck: the dark mode of Google Maps for iOS will start working in the coming weeks so you can give your eyes a break or save battery life. To activate it, go to Settings, tap on dark mode and select 'On'.
The dark mode that until now was available in the Google Maps application it only affected the map, not to the application menus, which made it difficult to use the application in unfavorable lighting conditions due to the sudden changes in lighting that it presented when switching between the menus and the map.

Within configuration options, Google Maps allows us if we want the dark mode to be activated when it is running on the device or if we want it to always be activated (as we can see the image above).
Along with the implementation of full dark mode in Google Maps, the search giant has also added the ability to share location via Messages app.
According to Google, the dark mode will begin to be available to all users in the next 30 daysSo if you don't have it activated yet, you just have to sit and wait or use Apple Maps in the meantime, since Apple's map service does support full dark mode.
