My wife has many virtues, but she also has some little flaws. Obviously, nobody is perfect. And one of those "flaws" in your firmware is that you have a very sensitive ear. And for many updates that I have done already, there is no way to fix it.
Fortunately, I have the option to put my Apple Watch in silent mode. This way I can continue to perceive alarms and notification warnings silently, just using vibration, and thus prevent my watch from flying out the window on a Sunday afternoon at nap time.
Among many of the functions and settings that the Apple Watch has, there is one that is not very well known but is worth its weight in gold. Is silent mode. So your watch will use vibration instead of sounds when it needs to alert you to something.
Whether you are at work or at home (unless you work at a highway toll, or live alone) Silent Mode can help you stay in touch with your Apple Watch. without disturbing the people around you.
Set a vibrate-only alarm
If you activate silent mode, you remain in contact with your Apple Watch with only vibrations, no sound.
It's very simple. All you have to do is set it normally, and put your Apple Watch in silent mode.
To do this, with the normal screen of the watch face, slide your finger up, and turn on the red bell icon. So your Apple Watch will be in silent mode.
In this way, both alarms and notifications will vibrate instead of sounding. If you also want to disable vibrations to silence it completely, then what you should activate is do not disturb mode, by tapping the crescent icon (night mode). That is the difference between "silent" and "do not disturb" mode, that one vibrates, and the other does not.
