iFixit is already disassembling the iPhone 5

The guys at iFixit have done it again. In their laboratories they already have an iPhone 5 unit and the first thing they have done with it is disassemble it to reveal the secrets that are inside.

The first good news we see is that replacing the screen due to breakage will be much easier. You just have to remove the screws at the bottom and use a suction cup to remove the display. This could also be done with the iPhone 3G / 3GS but with the 4 / 4S you had to completely disassemble the terminal, with the risk of breaking something during the process.

It is confirmed that iPhone 5 has 1GB of RAM Elpida LP DDR2 SDRAM. The chipset in charge of LTE connectivity is the Qualcom MDM9615M and the battery is 3,8V with a capacity of 1440mAh.

The Home button appears to have been reinforced to prevent it from malfunctioning over time, and the vibration system now makes use of a counterbalanced rotational motor.
