iOS 11 is here, at least in its testing mode. Since the day of its launch we have been testing the first beta, and now the second. Consequently we are faced with an operating system that still has a lot to polish, in fact Apple fine-tunes its operating systems until shortly before launching the next one. In iOS 11 we have found some quite recurring problems that we are going to try to solve.
If you are testing iOS 11 Beta, or are thinking about doing it, visit this post to discover what are the most common errors, and how to fix most of them where possible. We note that iOS betas are not recommended for installation on frequently used devices.
So, and without further ado, we are going to list some of the most frequent errors of these first two iOS 11 betas and their possible solutions:
- The applications in the App Store do not update me: This is probably because you are still on iOS 11 Beta 1, which had quite a few issues with updates. To do this, update to iOS 11 Beta 2, go to Settings> General> Software update. If the update does not appear, execute a reboot of the device.
- Content blockers don't work: The only content blocker we have found that works with Safari for iOS 11. It seems that Apple has tampered with the system.
- Problems in the App Store update counter: It is a persistent bug with no solution.
- The device freezes and its performance decreases: It may be because the battery below 10% begins to fail
- Anomalies with the «low consumption» mode: Apple seems to have not configured the low-power mode too well and exceeds it by cutting the power of the processor, there is also no known solution.
- Constant crashes of the multitasking selector: It is a persistent bug with no solution.
- I can't restore to iOS 10.3.2 from iOS 11 Beta 2: It is a known bug, you must download the iOS 11 Beta 1 .IPSW and then downgrade to iOS 10.3.2 using DFU mode.
- I can't update the Apple Watch to Beta 2: You will have to unlink the Apple Watch, re-link it, install the certificate and then restart it to find the update on duty.
So far these mentioned errors and excessive battery consumption accompany the second beta of iOS 11, while some problems with compatible applications such as YouTube have been solved, but others persist, such as the constant closures of the Bankia application.
