Again we talk about a new comparison that the guys from iAppleBytes have made, as in my previous article, where I have shown you a speed test between iPhone 5s, iPhone, 6, iPhone 6s, iPad Air and iPad Air 2 running both iOS 10.3.3 and iOS 11 Golder Master. Speed is one of the aspects that can most set users back when it comes to upgrading to a new operating system. But it is not the only reason, since battery life is another problem we can face. In this article we are going to show you two videos from the guys from iAppleBytes in which three terminals are compared: iPhone 5, iPhone 6 and iPhone 6s first with iOS 10.3.3 and later, the same terminals with iOS 11 GM.
It should be remembered that the GM version of iOS 11 is almost in all probability the one that Apple will finally launch tomorrow, when after many months of waiting the final version of iOS 11 is released. To do the test, the guys at iAppleBytes have used the application the BatteryTest function of GeekBench 3, a test that all of you can do at home as long as you can be without iPhone for a few hours until the process is finished on both versions of iOS.
As we can see in the video, the results are the following:
- iPhone 5s with iOS 10.3.3 the test lasted 2 hours 48 minutes and 40 seconds, while with iOS 11, the test lasted 8 minutes less, with a result of 2 hours, 40 minutes and 30 seconds.
- iPhone 6 with iOS 10.3.3 has offered us a time of 3 hours, 11 minutes and 30 seconds, while with iOS 11, the duration has been increased by 3 minutes, until 3 hours, 14 minutes and 30 seconds.
- iPhone 6s with iOS 10.3.3 offers us a time of 4 hours, 38 seconds and 40 seconds. Running iOS 11 the test lasted 13 more minutes, reaching 4 hours, 51 minutes and 30 seconds.
