Apple has confirmed that on October 28th, Within a week, it will release iOS 18.1 to everyone, and today has released the final Beta with new changes to fix some issues with the iPhone 16 and improvements to the Messages app.
iOS 18.1 will be the first version in which we will be able to see the first features of Apple Intelligence, or rather, those who are in the United States and have the iPhone configured in the English language will be able to see it. After several weeks and a good handful of Betas, The last Beta, the so-called Release Candidate (RC) version, has been released today. which, if there are no last-minute bugs, will be identical to the public version that will arrive on October 28 for all compatible devices. In addition to all the new features that we have already told you about in previous Betas, this latest version fixes some problems and adds improvements to RCS Messages:
- Messaging with companies (Business Messaging): RCS messages (which already arrived with iOS 18) can now be used to talk directly to companies for support and other topics. Remember that RCS messaging is like WhatsApp but with Messages, compatible with Android, allowing you to send messages over the internet, not via conventional SMS, so you can send emoji, GIFs, images, videos… at no cost.
- Solution to the problem of Unexpected reboots of iPhone 16 with previous Betas. The devices most affected by this bug are the iPhone 16 Pro and Pro Max, but in general there are users with other iPhone 16 who have suffered from it.
