Every year, as the year ends, the media begin to publish different statistics or summaries of the year that is about to end. One of the most curious and most interesting data among readers is the searches made by users throughout the year.
On this occasion, and for the umpteenth consecutive year, the iPhone once again leads the category not only in searches for technological products, but also in global searches for any term, being iPhone 8 and iPhone X in second and third position respectively.
In global searches, only Hurricane Irma has surpassed the two new iPhones that Apple released nearly three months ago. It partly makes sense that the iPhone 8 has surpassed the X, since since the beginning of the year, it was expected that that was the only model that Apple presented and not the iPhone X, which despite having only been on everyone's lips for only 3 months, has crept into third position in global searches for terms on Google.
Within the technology category, the iPhone 8 and iPhone X occupy the first and second positions, followed by the new console of the Japanese firm Nintendo, Samsung Galaxy S8 and Xbox One X, a console that was introduced in the middle of the year, but did not go on sale until a little less than a month ago.
It is especially striking that within the "How" category, the majority of global searches that have been carried out correspond to trying to help the thousands of people affected by Hurricane Irma, showing that we have become more supportive with others than in previous years.
