Man does not live by Google translator alone. For a couple of years, Microsoft has also offered us the Microsoft Translator application in the App Store, an application with which we can translate texts or complete sentences, as well as listen to their pronunciation in more than 60 languages in both directions. It also allows us, like the Google application, the possibility of recognize the text found in the images we capture or those that we have stored on the reel of our device without the need for an Internet connection at all times.
What's new in version 3.0.6 of Microsoft Translator
- The speed at which the translation of the text is played has been reduced to make the audio easier to understand. In the previous versions, the speed was too high and the reproduced audio was very well understood.
- Extension to translate text copied from different applications.
- An extension has also been added to translate images copied from other applications.
- New category called Emergency, within the conversations manual.
- When it comes to translating long text strings, the interface has been considerably improved and both the original text and the translation can be read more clearly and concisely.
- As usual, the guys at Microsoft have taken the opportunity to correct various errors in addition to improving the performance of the application, a performance that, it must be said, has always been very good.
Microsoft Translator is available for your download completely free, is compatible with the iPhone, iPad and iPod Touch and also offers us a version for the Apple Watch, which allows us to use the Apple wearable to perform translations without having to always have the iPhone at hand. In order to use this application, Microsoft Translator requires iOS 9 or later.
