WhatsApp will allow us to control who gets us into groups without our permission

WhatsApp

For many people, WhatsApp groups are life. All day in continuous movement. At all times there is someone writing, sharing a link, a GIF or a video ... At all hours, which in most cases, forces users to silence the terminal at night or when you don't want to be disturbed.

But WhatsApp group chats are the worst of the worstWhen we continuously see as people we don't know anything about, we are included in groups, groups of which we don't want to know anything. At the moment, WhatsApp does not allow us to manage the abuse that some people make of this function, but it will do so soon.

To try to fix this little big problem, WhatsApp added a feature that prevented us from being invited to a group again from which we had previously left. Logically, this half-solution does not protect us from other groups.

In WhatsApp

As we can read in VentureBeat, WhatsApp is working on a function that will allow the user to manage who can add him to the groups of this platform, a feature that should have been available since the introduction of this feature. But of course, Facebook is behind and what it wants is to give the maximum possible diffusion to the content of all its platforms.

Soon, hopefully it won't take months, we will have the possibility to select who will be able to include us in WhatsApp groups. We will have three options available: Nobody, My Contacts and Anyone

For those users who have come to abhor these types of groups and set the Nobody option, they may still be disturbed once more, since they will be able to receive a link to invite you to join the group, a link that will be active for 72 hours.

As we see, the issue of privacy and WhatsApp have never gone hand in hand. If I set NO ONE can add me to groups, NO ONE should be able to message each other with an invitation to a group. It is clear that WhatsApp does not learn, but as long as users continue to blindly use this platform, there is nothing more to say.
