Unicode adds a handful of regional flags for next year in its new version of Emoji 5.0. The first application to implement these new flags is as always WhatsApp, but this does not mean that all users can use them and it does not seem certain that all regions will be represented in this first round.
This is something evident and is that if we already have a good handful of flags with each of the countries of the world, we do not want to imagine if we now add the regional flags. At the moment what is known exactly is that the next Unicode update will add the regional flags for the United States and the United Kingdom.
In the case of iOS, wtchOS and macOS Sierra we already have a good handful of new Emojis added in beta versions that are about to become official versions, and therefore officially arrive (They have already been launched this afternoon) but it does not hurt that they continue to improve and add new features in this regard. It is also true that with half of these Emoji many of us would pass peacefully, but in this case we can do little since they are implemented automatically, although they cannot be used on all devices. In any case, for non-residents in the United States and the United Kingdom, these new flags will not be of much use and we hope that those from other regions closer to us will soon be added.
Now what we have left is that finding a flag is already somewhat complicated and it may be that after this new update in which more flags are added, it will be a bit more complicated, but in any case it is about adding and these Emoji already have a good handful of options available to express ourselves in a more friendly and fun way.
